Individuals Tournament - Qualification

Typical gameplay during the individual qualification and the European Pinball Open over the weekend of 21 and 22 May 2005.

First qualification individual. Saturday 1130 - 1700 hours.
This section has changed due to shortage of space and an all time record of registrered players. In the "Kasteelzaal" ("Castle room") of the venue there will be 24 tables. In the museum section there will be another 16 tables. There are five groups with a maximum of 32 players each. If you are in group one your player number will start with a one (101-132) and you will play on five out of eight games in the ten-series (tables 11-18). Group two will then be 201-232 on tables 21-28 and so forth. Since the hall may be too crowded, starting times of each group may not be at the same time. Nonetheless, we plan to start the first round at 12:00 hours and finish it for all groups within an hour. Second round is planned at 13:00 hours, third at 14:00 hours, fourth at 15:00 hours and the fifth at 16:00 hours. But since all games will be played, delays may occur. Every player in each group will play one game on five of the nine tables in their group. The table you play depends on your player number. Every player will get a player card on which you will read in which round you will play on which table and the players position. Every game in the first round you will play with three different players. In this way a total of twenty players will play on every table. If you win or lose your game doesn't matter. Per table all scores will be recorded. For the highest to the lowest score that are 25, 23, 21, 19, 17, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points. If there are less than 32 players in a group, some games may be played with three players. When there are less than 20 entries, the lowest awards of points will void. At this time there are only a total of eight places left. The total number of points for each player over five games will be used to sort out who will continue.

Second qualification round individual. Saturday 1900 - 2200 hours.
A total of 48 players (16 from the countries match and 32 from the first individual qualification) will now play another four games. The 48 players will be seperated in four groups of twelve players. Per twelve players you will be appointed in a fixed group of three players. Each group will play on four tables and circulate between the games. In this round all players per group will play all four tables. Once again scores will be recorded and points awarded. Highest to lowest score are 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points. The total number of points for each player over four games will be used to sort out who will continue.

European individual championship. Sunday 1030 - 1700 hours.
This match will start with 48 players (12 from the first qualification, 16 from the countries tournament, 16 from the second qualification and a maximum of four wild card players). Players will get a new players number by draw. See separate schedule for Sunday's game play.
